Several preparation methods of metal nickel are briefly described:

☆Electrolysis method ☆ Carbonylation method ☆ Hydrogen reduction method

① Electrolysis. The enriched sulfide ore is calcined into oxide, reduced to crude nickel by carbon, and then pure metal nickel is obtained by electrolysis.

② Carbonylation method. Nickel sulfide ore and carbon monoxide reaction to produce tetracarbonyl nickel, heated decomposition, and high purity metal nickel.

③ Hydrogen reduction method. Nickel metal can be obtained by reducing nickel oxide with hydrogen.

    Nickel also has good oxidation resistance, and in the air, NiO film is formed on the surface of nickel to prevent further oxidation.
    Experiments show that the purity of 99% nickel, 20 years will not occur rust. The corrosion resistance of nickel is very strong, especially the corrosion resistance of caustic soda is strong, and the corrosion rate of nickel is not more than 25 microns per year in 50% boiling caustic soda solution.
    Nickel strength and plasticity is also very good, can withstand a variety of pressure processing.
